School is just getting kicked off and club registration is right around the corner.

Here is a brief list of clubs available to CHS students:

CHS Anchor Club (Megan Berry, sponsor) Anchor Club will have their first meeting September 6. You will need to pay a $20 fee and commit to complete 4 service credits.

National Art Honor Society (Deanna Collins, sponsor) If you’re more artsy you can join the National Art Honor Society. It will begin in September you can pick up an application and review the requirements.

FCA (Kyle Nichols, sponsor) The joining policy for FCA is just showing up. The official meeting for FCA is September 6.

Chemistry Club (Joshaunda Purvis, sponsor) Another notable club is Chemistry Club. You will have to have taken chemistry or are in chemistry right now. Chemistry club meets ever 3rd Tuesday of each month and will start September 19.

National Honors Society (Mina Darnell, sponsor) National Honor Society has started, but just incase you want to join 10th and 11th graders the application process starts in February you will need to have 90.0 GPA or higher. Once the grade requirement is met then students come to a meeting to receive an application and more information about becoming a member.

First Priority (Nancy Dent, sponsor) First Priority is a Christian club whose goal are to be the best representatives of Christ. If interested talk to Mrs. Dent this club meets each Monday during homeroom.

International Thespian Society (Sarah Hankins, sponsor) If interested in International Thespian Society they will have an interest meeting. See Ms. Sarah Hankins for more details.

Educators Rising (Ms. Antrim, sponsor) If you are interested in teaching Educators rising is perfect for you. You will need to bring a five-dollar fee when you sign up talk to Ms. Antrim for further details.

 

DECA (Kathleen Foshee, sponsor) Students must be enrolled in CPE to be in DECA.

HOSA (Lora Little, sponsor) To join you must be in health science 1or2 they will start in September.

National Spanish Honors Society (Julie Roberts, sponsor) National Spanish Honor Society is still working on details for the club, but you can talk to Ms. Julie Roberts for more information.

Other clubs available are History Club, Honors Science Club, Mu Alpha Theta, Student Council, Chess Club, 30+ Club, Junior Classical League, GSA
