Which Club Should You Join? We May be Able to Help

Clinton High School may have a good grasp on preparing students for college when in comes to academics, but CHS also has a wonderful collection of extracurricular activities. There are clubs for everyone. The hard part is determining which club is for you.

We at The Arrow Appeal have put together a brief collection of reasons to join various clubs and have broken them down into four different groups, Leadership, Academics, Service and Extracurricular.

If you’re interested in joining one of these clubs, simply ask the sponsor.


FCA- Everyone can join, monthly devotions and Christian fellowship, prayer

SADD- Encourage others to make good decisions with car safety, drug and alcohol abuse prevention

Youth in Government- Gets you exposed to the processes of government and politics.

First Priority- Smaller Christian fellowship environment, weekly devotions and prayer, meets before school



NHS- An academic honor society that has community involvement and requires/motivates an upkeep in grades.

Mu Alpha Theta- An honor society for those with certain grades that are required for entry and an interest in math.

FEA- If you plan on working in education, this club helps navigate that world, also work on leadership skills

DECA-Provides a network of business minded students and exposes students to challenges in the business world

HOSA- For those interested in the field of health and science for their future careers. 

Thespian Honor Society- Meet new people, scholarship opportunities, learn more about acting and theater

National Art Honor Society- For students who love to be involved in art and who have the ability to showcase their creative side. NAHS is an important club for the school and the community, bringing art education to the attention of the students and faculty.

Junior Classical League- For students who enjoy Latin and studying classics. For students who would enjoy going to conventions and meeting other students who enjoy Latin

30+- Scholarship opportunities with high test scores on the ACT. Must score a 30 or above on the ACT.



GSA- Unites students, brings attention to social issues like bullying, provides a safe environment; any and all students are allowed to join, no matter your sexual orientation

Anchor-  get $250 each year if you attend Mississippi State, participate in many community service opportunities


Extra Curricular

Chess – Compete against your peers in a game of logic and strategy. This club does a great job of sharpening your skills.

Chemistry- Involves students in chemistry by working together in the lab, learning about safety in the lab and bringing students together, while providing a fun, work environment for students who have an interest and love for chemistry
