The Volleyball Lady Arrows have been on a roll, winning their last two matches.

Aug. 15, the Lady Arrows traveled to Florence, and came out on top with a 3-0 win.

On Aug. 17, the Lady Arrows also secured their first District Game win against Warren Central, 3-1.

The first set of the varsity match Warren Central won 23-25, but the Lady Arrows rallied and came back to win the next three sets.

Varsity

The Varsity Lady Arrows stat leaders were Krystal Hulsey, Kaitlin Lambert, and Madelyn Misita with 4 aces; Mary-Claire Ford and Janai Mason with 10 kills, Janai Mason and Kiara Vance with 4 blocks, Kaitlin Lambert with 18 assists, Mary-Claire Ford with 17 digs and Logan Parker with 15 digs.

The Lady Arrows record is currently 5-2.

Their coach, Melissa Denson, has high hopes for them and the rest of their season.

“Playing Warren Central is always intense,” Coach Denson said. “They are a very scrappy team that never lets balls drop. Very proud of the girls fight and determination. We have great senior leadership and they understand the importance of district and where we want to be at the end of the season.”

With strong leadership from their seniors, the Volleyball Lady Arrows are going into their next game with a lot of confidence.

Lady Arrow JV

Coached by Ashlyn Raybon, the Junior Varsity girls arrived at Warren Central prepared to dominate.

By running an effective offense and making great defensive moves, JV won their third game straight.

Their stat leaders were Lindsea Razinobakht (Freshman) and Averi Wall (Sophomore) with 4 aces, Isabella Oropeza (Freshman) with 3 kills, Morgan Ray (Sophomore) with 1 block, and Avia Hathorn with 4 digs.

Junior Varsity’s record is currently 3-0.

On Tuesday, Aug. 22, the Lady Arrows host the Northwest Rankin Cougars. Junior Varsity begins at 5:30, and Varsity begins at 6:30. Tickets are $5 at the front gate.
